Karley Bae (“Skasha”) is a Korean-Puerto Rican TV series director, manhwaga, 2D/3D animator, and cross-media storyteller best known as the Founder & CEO of Studio Kane, a dual-registered Korean and U.S. animation studio focused on prestige-oriented original storytelling.

She is also credited as the Creator & Showrunner of OUTLIER, an upcoming prestige animated drama and manhwa currently in active development through Studio Kane’s proprietary hybrid 2.5D production pipeline.

With over a decade of experience spanning animation,
visual development, narrative architecture, and production leadership, her work centers around emotionally grounded character performance and culturally resonant worldbuilding.

Her creative philosophy blends Eastern-inspired artistry with Western-style cinematic structure, resulting in productions designed to feel intimate, raw, and visually immersive.

Through Studio Kane, Skasha leads an international team of artists, writers, voice actors, and technical creatives developing original IP across animation, manhwa, music, interactive media, and long-form franchise storytelling.

 

Even ahead of its official debut, the studio's work has already become recognized for its voice-first production methodology, painterly hybrid animation, and strong advocacy surrounding ethical creative labor practices within the Film/TV industry.

She is currently based between Houston, Texas, USA and Busan, South Korea, and remains selectively open to creative collaborations, with both regions serving as active operational bases.

 

Selective consideration for 2026 is currently being extended toward short-term contracts and production opportunities involving animation, scriptwriting, illustration, storyboarding, manhwa (WEBTOON) / manga development, consulting, mentorship, and production partner ships aligned with
Studio Kane’s long-term artistic philosophy.
